The hosts were genuinely nice and helpful, which was a good part of the stay, though only one part of it. Breakfast uses fresh, local food and the coffee is good, but there isn’t much of it, there’s no hot food or eggs, and several items weren’t topped up, so go early. The place itself is a gated villa divided into rooms, with parking and a pool, rather than a resort. It looks beautiful outside and just okay inside. The beds have very uncomfortable spring mattresses, and the bathroom needs maintenance at the very least, if not an upgrade.

The staff were really helpful and cooperative. A very good place.

The location is great, the outside looks pretty, it was clean, breakfast was good, and the women serving it were very kind. But this is the third disastrous hotel I’ve stayed in. Our quadruple room was up in the attic, dark with just two small windows, and poorly soundproofed. Both mornings we were woken at 5 by birds and rodents scratching on the roof. The fridge rattled like wind blowing through the apartment, the TV was ridiculous, and the two camp beds were spring mattresses. It was raining, with daytime temperatures of 15 degrees Celsius and nights at 10, so the room was cold. When we asked for heat, the owner first refused, saying it was a B&B and that they’d be responsible if police came. After checking the photos on Booking.com, he confirmed heating was included and should be individual, rather than a shared system he keeps locked. He did turn it on that evening. We wanted to change our plans and leave because the room didn’t match the Booking.com photos, but he wouldn’t let us cancel. On top of that, his work calls were on speakerphone from 8 am. We don’t recommend it, though we found plenty of other great options.

We had a wonderful weekend here while visiting the Putignano Carnival, about 15 km away. The location made it easy to enjoy the events and still have a quiet night. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and impeccably clean, which matters a lot to me. Breakfast was a lovely surprise: English-style, plentiful, varied, and carefully prepared, just right before heading out to see the carnival floats. There’s a large, covered parking area outside, and it felt secure. We were given the keys and remote for the automatic gate right away, so we could come and go independently. Special thanks to the lady who welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home. I’d happily recommend this property and keep it in mind for future stays in the area. 😊
