Su Cuile historical country house with barbecue

The owners made our stay especially lovely. Mirco was kind and helpful, and Giovanna was fantastic, always ready to help with anything and suggest things to do or places to eat nearby. We came with our children, aged 8, 4 and 2, and all five of us are already keen to return after our eight wonderful days here. SU CUILE was a lovely find for our Christmas break, a peaceful countryside home in a small village with an amazing view over endless greenery. It’s suitable for families, including those with very young children. There’s countryside to walk through, the nearby Triulintas waterfall and petrified forest to visit, and Castelsardo or Sassari are about 40 minutes away. MARTIS itself is also worth wandering, with its narrow lanes and historic center. We chose it to get away from the city chaos, and it was just what we wanted.

The surroundings are beautiful, and the accommodation itself is fine, but we couldn’t relax because of the animals. The owner keeps two dogs and three small kittens that looked half-starved, and they seemed neglected since nobody lives there full-time. One kitten had a high fever and an injured leg, but wasn’t taken to a vet. The animals kept trying to get into our accommodation, hungry and looking for affection. The beds were extremely uncomfortable too.

We spent almost a week in this wonderful little corner of the world. It’s such a peaceful spot for anyone wanting to relax, and Giovanna welcomed us warmly and was always available. Thank you for a fantastic stay! Grazie di cuore ❤️

The children loved petting and playing with the dogs and cats who live outside here. The apartment is spacious, functional and set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
