Sicily for Rent

The spotless public beach was quiet and uncrowded, just a minute away, and the sea was crystal clear. Alfio and Lucia were the icing on the cake: so kind, ready to answer any questions, and they made us feel at home from the first day. The apartment had new furnishings and all sorts of useful things, from air conditioning and mosquito nets to a coffee machine with pods, an insect lamp, and a garden barbecue. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom, and the sheets and towels were snow-white. I highly recommend it.

Alfio and his wife Laura were always there if we needed anything. We’d only just met, but their advice and helpfulness made them feel like friends. The location is great for the sea and for visiting Taormina, Isola Bella, Etna, Giardini Naxos, Catania, and Acireale, all within about a 30-minute drive. The place has been fully renovated and had everything we needed for a lovely holiday, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a barbecue. It’s brand new, just steps from the sea, and in a stunning setting. We’d give it six stars if we could. Highly recommended.

The owner is a nice guy, though the service wasn’t as good. The terrace was shared with strangers, and it felt like everyone was watching whatever you did. There was no salad bowl, and the apartment didn’t have a booth.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The owner was warm and kind, the rooms were good quality, and the property had nice amenities. It’s close to the sea, too. If I’m back in the area, I know where I’ll stay. Highly recommended!
