The villa is beautiful, neat, quiet, surrounded by greenery, and has all the amenities. The pool was clean and in a lovely spot with a panoramic view. The walk to the beach is the tough part: it’s 2.5 km down steep slopes, taking 1 hour 40 minutes, but the beach at the end is a truly wonderful, wild paradise. At first, the Booking description about collecting keys from a key holder who had to be called and coordinated with made me nervous. No one answered the phone for several hours. Just to reassure everyone, the key holder is a woman who lives nearby and hosts guests herself, so there’s no need to worry. I’d also suggest updating the phone numbers, since the website currently shows a mix of two numbers.

The pool and its view were the highlights for our group of three friends in August 2023. The grounds are full of plants and feel close to nature, and we felt welcome and safe. The price seemed fair, and the location worked reasonably well, though the nearest bus stop for Sorrento or Amalfi is about a 20-minute walk away. It got very hot in the daytime, and the warm weather brought a lot of ants. The shower is just a drain in the bathroom floor, and mosquito bites are something to prepare for. There are also around five cats, most with apparent eye problems. One had sore eyes, one was blind, and another looked in very poor condition, with blood and swelling around an eye that seemed almost to be popping out. If that would be upsetting for you, I’d suggest avoiding the place.

Mrs. Assunta, who owns the estate, made us feel welcome with a warm, elegant manner. She was available whenever we needed her without being intrusive. The setting is quiet and comfortable, well suited to families, and the sea views are lovely. We had pleasant temperatures even in the first half of September. Parking is the point that could use some thought. There are only a few spaces, and the small parking area is on the main road, which may be tricky for less experienced drivers.

The owner was really kind and ready to help. The apartment itself is small, but it was neat and clean. The pool area was looked after well, with sun loungers and umbrellas.
