The meal finished with delizia al limone, a citrus specialty of the Sorrentine peninsula. Before that, the signature spaghetti alla Nerano was a standout: zucchini cooked into a creamy coating for each strand, basil added at the end, and no garlic or cream, keeping to tradition. I'd give it 9/10. We started with pizzette fritte ripiene, croquettes, fiori di zucca, mozzarella with prosciutto, and alici marinate. These refined versions of Campania street food weren't greasy, and rated 8/10. The tables at Le Sirene open straight onto the Tyrrhenian, with a pebbled beach, boats at anchor, and sea air drifting into the dining room. The delizia al limone was 8/10. There's a sense of continuity, skill, and place in every dish.

The mussels in their broth were the standout, fresh and meaty in a salty, delicious soup. We also really liked the homemade spinach and parsley pasta, their take on vongole. The antipasto platter had a good mix for the price, especially the lemony, salty marinated anchovy. We came in for lunch and had a great time: the food was high quality, our waiter was kind and patient, and the lovely atmosphere made the reasonable prices feel even better.

The seafood was the highlight, especially the mixed seafood plate and its amazing locally caught shrimp. All our starters and main courses were incredible, and the wine list is comprehensive. After a bad meal at a nearby restaurant, Le Sirene was a welcome change. Alfonso and the staff answered our questions and were helpful without pushing extra food or pricier dishes. The atmosphere was lovely, with the same amazing views you get around Nerano, and the value was really good compared with nearby places. Book ahead for weekends or larger groups, and you should have a lovely meal.

The restaurant food was considerably cheaper than at the other places around, and everything we tried was delicious. Our waiter recommended local specialities, and we tried them all. The family running the hotel and restaurant were so lovely, the room was great, and the food was fantastic.

The view over the water is lovely, and the restaurant itself is lovely too. I followed the owner's suggestion and had the antipasto, then shrimp, squid and fish for my main. Both were delicious, and the prices seemed fair for the quality.
