Terrazza Iride

The pizza was chewy and had that frozen-dough taste, which was especially disappointing in a region where bad pizza is hard to come by. The place seemed set up for big tourist groups more than individual diners. Service didn’t help: the young waitress came across as rude and as if she didn’t want to be there, and the pizza maker and her husband, who waited on tables, didn’t give me confidence about hygiene. I wasn’t happy with the food or anything else.

Breakfast was a letdown, with few choices and poor taste, and the room itself was uncomfortable in the summer because the air conditioning didn’t work properly. The shower had very weak water pressure, so it was hard to take a proper shower. While we were out, someone came into our room without permission, supposedly to clean, but only turned off the air conditioning and left without cleaning anything. That felt intrusive. The location may have some positives, but our stay fell short of expectations.

The restaurant was AMAZING. We’ve never eaten better, and the chef is something else. Filomena especially made us feel at home the whole week, and thank you to Luca too. We stayed here with my family for a week, and the beautiful, quiet setting was perfect for relaxing. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Thank you! 🩷

The view from the terrazza in the evening is amazing, and the location is convenient since it’s the only restaurant in this area. But the service was terrible, and the food was the worst we had during two weeks in Italy. The pasta tasted store-bought, with sauce from a can. Stay away...
