The bus stop right outside made getting to and from downtown easy, even though walking there isn’t practical with those narrow roads. It’s about a 15-minute bus ride to Sorrento. We had a corner room with an incredible balcony, and the room was clean. The owners were kind and the service was good. AC worked great, WiFi was decent, and it was an affordable way to enjoy a nice stay.

We had no issues and would definitely book again. The owners were wonderful and hospitable, and the location worked really well for us. Parking was free, and the bus stop for Sorrento was less than a five-minute walk away. Breakfast was great, with really nice views. The room was clean enough.

Getting to Sorrento meant taking the bus, which was a little inconvenient, though the stop was right in front and made the trip easy. I loved how peaceful the place was, especially the big picnic area outside where you could sit and talk. The room was spacious but simple, with what you needed, and it was tidy and clean. The temperature-controlled A/C got my room properly cold even in the mid-July heat. The views were spectacular, and the restaurant was my favorite, better than the restaurants in sorrento for me. The terrace and its view were beautiful too. I’d seen older reviews saying the rooms weren’t clean, but I think that person may not have waited for the lady to come. She was always around, going from room to room at about the same time. I’d also read a complaint about there being no coffee, but a staff member asked me every morning if I wanted some, and it was delicious. My experience didn’t match those older comments. Maybe some people don’t know how to communicate, or compare things with what they’re used to back home.

We loved our week and have only good memories. The spectacular sunsets over Capri and Vesuvius were a lovely way to end the day, glass of wine in hand. We enjoyed the old black and white photographs around the restaurant and the storytelling they offered, along with the interesting antiquities displayed throughout the family-run hotel, which has been run by the family since 1909. We didn’t spend our time hunting for damaged furniture or cracked tiles. Our clean, quiet attic room #301 had wonderful views, and we often relaxed, read, and drank cold wine on the roof terrace opposite. Fresh white cotton sheets and towels were changed daily. Breakfast was a substantial continental spread, and every evening we had a delicious freshly prepared three-course dinner served by friendly, attentive staff. The Italian meals suited us: a generous pasta first course, then a smaller but very tasty meat or fish course, followed by homemade desserts that are sweet and heavy. Perhaps some reviewers expected something different from a traditional Italian hotel and would rather stay in a modern, generic European one. Thank you to our kind hosts.
