The walk from the city and the half hour walk to the beach take some planning, and finding parking in town can be difficult. But the house is secluded high on the mountainside, away from the tourist crowds, and the views from the terrace are magical. I loved having my morning coffee among the basil, rosemary, and sage, with cicadas or birds singing outside the open window. Lina and Claudio had stocked the fridge with good things, which was a big help since shopping options in Nerano are limited. The house is well equipped, so you can pack a few clothes in a backpack and settle in. There are lovely walks from the house too. One morning I walked up to the monastery on the cliff and was back before breakfast. Another day we took the beautiful hour long walk to the small beach at Leranto bay. Lina and Claudio don’t speak much English, but we managed with translation on the phone. They’re warm, incredibly helpful, and happy to offer local tips or arrange excursions. They hope guests feel at home at Aury house, and that happened for me right away. Thanks for a fantastic holiday. We’ll definitely return to experience another season in this magical place.

Dear Lina and Claudio ❤️ Your home feels so welcoming and cozy, with a thoughtful layout and beautiful design. You can tell it’s been cared for with love, and it manages to feel both modern and comfortable. The view is mesmerizing, like a painting. I could sit and look at it for hours, and waking up to it each morning must feel like a dream. You treated us like family, and we’ll definitely be back very soon. Astra xxx

The climb up to Aury House takes a bit of effort, but the views are phenomenal and there’s plenty of privacy. The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and our hosts went beyond what we expected. Nerano makes it easy to hike and reach the Amalfi Coast, Caprì, and Sorrento while avoiding the crowds. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or return.
