Tenuta Il Cicalino

The onsite restaurant was just right, with great food and friendly service. The local MTB trails are seriously good too. Nicest place we've stayed in Tuscany.

The front desk staff were very helpful, while the restaurant staff seemed less attentive. Still, the chefs do a great job, and both breakfast and dinner were very high quality. I was here for a spring biking holiday and found it relaxing and fun. The hotel sits among olive trees, and staying in a small house with about 5 to 6 rooms feels almost like having a private holiday. You share a garden with a pool, and there's a gym and spa in the annex.

The mountain biking is fantastic, with trails for every level. This huge estate has pretty much every amenity you could want, including pools, saunas, and spas. The staff are super helpful and friendly, the breakfast has a fabulous range to choose from, and dinner is simple but good.

We stayed 9 nights. It costs a bit, but the service was outstanding and the people were lovely. They really put the customer first. A couple of minor things were easy to live with, like the apartment lighting not being very well thought out. Sightseeing also means some driving. Clear recommendation all around. We didn't use the indoor facilities.
