L'Oro di Cicognola

Cozy and peaceful, with outstanding service.

We've already returned three times in three years and are planning a fourth, after first finding B&B L'Oro in Cicognola almost by chance during a weekend away with friends. It's an excellent base for Umbria events, including the well-known Umbria Jazz Festival, and a peaceful escape from the busy city. The property is clean, well organized, and carefully maintained. Irina is kind and helpful, always ready to answer questions or address concerns. Breakfast is entirely organic, with homemade tarts, croissants, pastries, and jams that have an authentic taste. Definitely recommend it!

The owners were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, while never being intrusive. I recommend the place to couples, friends, or solo travelers. From the garden, watching the sunset, then seeing stars through the pergola leaves and hearing the quiet sounds of the valley completely refreshed me. This little corner of paradise is where I think of going whenever I need a break from the city's noise.

Umbria's main attractions are easy to reach from this B&B, where we spent four days. The welcome was warm but discreet, the place enchanting, and breakfast superb. What more could you ask for?
