Hotel Eco del Mare

The rooms facing the beach differ quite a bit in size. Those in the middle of the building are much smaller than the ones at either end. Each room has a small fridge and a safe, and the rooftop is set up for sunbathing. The pools were clean and the marble building looked immaculate. Eco del Mare is geared toward families and retirees, though there’s a nightclub across the beach road. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all available, and each was superb. The hotel is professionally run, and we’d come back for another beachfront room.

Dinner portions are generous, and the wide breakfast buffet makes this a great value stay. It’s easy to find and well placed for Marina De Massa, though the spot wasn’t quite as close to my ideal location as some places I’ve stayed before. It’s another really good family-run hotel, and I’d stay again.

The restaurant food was excellent, and the rooms were kept very clean. We also enjoyed the well-maintained pool with its hydromassage facilities, while the view toward the beach made for an exciting start to the day. The kids’ club puts on events to keep children entertained. Big thanks to the staff for their humble, welcoming hospitality. There’s plenty of entertainment and fun here, and it’s worth spending a holiday at this hotel.

We chose this place as an alternative to La Spezia. The renovated rooms were comfortable, and breakfast had a good selection. There was just one slow coffee machine, so a queue built up. Check-in at 10 pm also took a long time.
