The pool always had room for everyone, and we had a great apartment with friendly staff. We spent a wonderful week here. It made a brilliant base for exploring Tuscany, from Lucca and Pisa to the coast, mountains, lake, countryside and vineyards.

A lovely place to unwind, with excellent hosts and beaches close by. With a car, it also works perfectly as a base for seeing the area, from Firenze to cinque terre and plenty of places in between.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s in a lovely, peaceful spot in Tuscany, with Lucca and Pisa easy to reach and the sea nearby too.

Gina, Sofia and all the staff are lovely, and the place made me feel more at ease than anywhere else I’ve stayed. La Casa Rossa is quiet, clean and wonderfully restorative, tucked into the countryside between Lucca, Pisa, the Versilia coast, the Garfagnana mountains and Lake Massaciuccoli. It’s a magical, unique place for anyone looking for peace and quiet. I can’t imagine not coming back.
