The food had that homemade taste that reminded me of my mom’s cooking, and breakfast was simple but hit the spot. The staff were so kind and helpful, always smiling, and the place was spotless. The rooms are old-fashioned, though still comfortable and charming, and that fits the hotel’s cozy, characterful feel. There’s handy parking on site, but you’ll need a car to get around.

The view across the lake is lovely. The menu isn’t huge, but the food is decent and fairly priced. There are mushroom and polenta dishes, along with other meat and pasta options, and a good range of wines. The staff were friendly.

The homemade food and Piemonte specialities were a highlight, and everyone, staff and locals alike, was very friendly. It’s a lovely family-run hotel with a gorgeous view of Lake Maggiore, about a 15-minute drive from the lakeside. I’ll come back.
