The breakfast was the standout. I’ve never seen anything like it, and it could be a destination on its own. The hosts were charming and very friendly, and the stay was excellent value for the area. There’s a large humidifier and air conditioning in the rooms. If you’re only there for a night, I’d say an organized tour is a must.

Enzo and his wife were super friendly and happy to tell us all about Matera. The rooms give you just the experience you want there. We got very lucky: because of overbooking, we were given the suite, and it was a dream. One of the best hotel stays of my life!

The hosts were so welcoming and served one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever seen. Our room was stunning, beautifully fitted out, and immaculately clean. Just superb.

The owners were very hospitable, and the internet was excellent. The living space was roomy, in the old city center of the Sassi, and it was lovely and quiet. You wake up to birds in the morning, with no cars around. There are a few stairs to climb, of course, but the shops, restaurants, and cafés are all an easy walk away. I enjoyed my 4-5 weeks here and will be back.

Mima and Enzo’s hospitality made us feel at home. The cave room was awesome, with a cisterna inside, and breakfast was incredible. Great experience, and I hope to visit again.
