We’re grateful for the welcome and for Mr. Cataldo’s stories and advice. Matera is enchanting, and the property is ideally placed for reaching the Sassi. Everything we needed was provided, including a delicious breakfast with fresh local croissants, and the cleaning was done daily. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Lia served our delicious breakfast, including fresh croissants, promptly on an outdoor table in the shade of a lovely terrace surrounded by greenery. The apartment was clean, well kept, and equipped with everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen. The property is in a residential area beside Ginestre Park, a short walk from the center of Matera, or just a three-minute drive. Lia and Cataldo are fabulous and know so much about this magical city, its delicious treats, and enchanting places. I’ll definitely return and recommend it to everyone. Lia and Cataldo are wonderful hosts. Both are retired professors, friendly and helpful, and they made us feel at home. Cataldo is especially passionate about history. He shared stories about Matera and the Murge in a pleasant, unobtrusive way, took us through these treasures himself, and gave us useful tips about key places to visit. He also offers a helpful tourist guide he helped write. We appreciated his knowledge and hospitality and will definitely return. Breakfast was plentiful, with warm croissants, treats, and local desserts made by the owners, served in the spacious veranda. The large garden and exterior were well kept. Daily cleaning was excellent. The property is in excellent condition, with free on-site parking, just five minutes from the Sassi. There are several well-furnished rooms with comforts including a TV, air conditioning, kitchen, refrigerator, cookware, dishes, cutlery, and a bathroom with a comfortable shower. We felt so welcome and at home. Climbed by Pasquale and Teresa. N.B. Castel del Monte was enchanting.

The attic where we stayed was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Every detail seemed thought through for travelers, from the breakfast table and coffee maker to the lights and countertops. We even had a bathroom with a clear place to put towels and toiletries! We chose a B&B because we like meeting local people and getting a fuller travel experience, and this one was just what we hoped for. Lia and Cataldo were warm and welcoming, shared useful information, and went out of their way to meet our requests. Cataldo showed us the garden, and Lia shared her stories and warmth. We left feeling almost like part of the family.
