Mulino Bonacasa

Mr. Stefano and his son Andrea welcomed my husband, our two children, and me like family. They were attentive, kind, and so helpful. They even gave us fresh homemade granita with cookies and brioches, an unexpected and much appreciated treat. The place is surrounded by greenery and quiet, with a beautiful garden that feels peaceful and relaxing. It's also well placed for getting to all the cultural sites. Our French bulldog got special treatment too, with walks in the greenery and a room to rest in, just as he always does. It was a short but very pleasant stay, and we'd gladly return.

The owner was very polite and helpful, and the entrance from the street is charming, with a wrought-iron gate and a path to the garden where you can park easily. Inside, the courtyard has a pleasant garden with a centuries-old tree, farm tools on display, and a lovely well, though the dense vegetation could use some maintenance. Mulino Bonacasa is a beautiful place, especially inside, surrounded by greenery and just a 5-minute drive from the center. The rooms have been expertly renovated, and my spacious room had a clean, well-maintained en suite bathroom. Highly recommended.

We stayed with friends two years ago, but left after the first night, once we'd found another option so our vacation wouldn't be completely ruined. The online listing wasn't accurate and the photos were misleading. It was poorly lit and very humid, with mold, poor cleanliness, and only a few kitchen utensils, some broken. The pool was tiny and unusable. The owner didn't want to find solutions to the problems guests faced because of the property's condition and the services provided. I hope the place and service have improved since then, but I'd strongly recommend visiting before booking.

My family and I only got to stay one night, unfortunately, at the end of August, but we'll definitely come back. The courtyard had parking, and the location was excellent. Stefano was incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen. My daughters loved the garden and the cats and dogs wandering around.
