My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly enough, and for about 50 euros a night, it felt like you got what you paid for. Our room was fairly large, with a double bed, a small kitchen, and a bathroom that was an okay size. If you're driving, shops and the beach are conveniently close.

We arrived at 1:30, and were told check-in wasn't until three, so we went for lunch. When we returned at three, the room still wasn't ready and we were told to come back at four. We went to the beach for a quick beer, then got back three minutes before four. I joked that I hoped arriving a few minutes early wasn't a problem, and the response was, “why did someone have something to say about that”. After that, things got ugly. I won't get into all the abuse, but the person at reception, Marco d’Agostino, has no customer service skills. This is the worst bed and breakfast review I'd like to leave anywhere. We paid a week in advance, and I wish we hadn't. No stars deserved.

The manager who greeted us was friendly and always available when we needed anything, and we'd happily stay here again if we return to Mazara. We left a little piece of our heart here. We booked online without knowing quite what to expect, but the place turned out to be a lovely surprise. We were two and chose a studio. Space is limited, as you'd expect in a small seaside apartment, but it had everything we needed. There was a covered patio right outside with comfortable tables and chairs for meals, and a big, well-designed brick barbecue to use privately or share with other guests. There are outdoor showers, a shared washing machine for apartments without one, and a clothesline. Our apartment was cleaned daily and the linens were changed. The outdoor bins for recycling were kept clean and tidy. The best part was the terrace above the tower, with loungers, chairs, tables, and a shower. It's a lovely place to sunbathe and watch the sunset. The sea is a 10-minute walk behind the property, and the supermarket is across the street. Thanks so much, we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were wonderful. It's in a handy spot close to the sea, with a bar and supermarket just across the street. I had a lovely stay and will definitely return.
