The grounds and house are beautiful, but the owners made our stay a constant conflict. Apartments are rented out in the complex, yet the owners don’t seem to approve of the tenants. We felt watched all the time and were repeatedly reminded of house rules we hadn’t even been told about. We booked with a dog, but it clearly wasn’t welcome, for example, at the pool. The apartment was only functionally furnished, and the air conditioner didn’t work. In 37 degrees Celsius, that was miserable. The on-site property management was a disaster, and hospitality seemed like a foreign concept. As tenants, we were confronted with accusations to keep us quiet. It’s a shame given how lovely the grounds are, but I’d strongly advise against booking. A holiday should be relaxing, not one long argument. As I said, even one star is too generous!

VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE with HAPPY RENTALS. The place is beautiful, but it’s poorly managed. Owners in this complex act as though they run everything and look down on renters like us, who didn’t know the place and only wanted two quiet days. The apartment was very small and the air conditioning didn’t work. If you leave things open, mosquitoes get in. The pool was anything but peaceful, with the owners’ children playing ball, shouting, and making noise. DON’T LET THEM TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

A lovely holiday apartment with friendly landlords and a sensational view. The pool is well maintained, and the amenities are good. It’s a great base for motorcycle trips around Lake Maggiore.
