Masseria Spartivento

The bed felt very hard, and a pool would make this an ideal holiday spot. Still, our one-night stay was lovely. Our host cooked a delicious dinner, including what may have been the best Parmigiana we’ve ever had. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, with fruit, cereals and omelettes. The room was huge, with a grand bathroom and views over the property. Such a serene place to relax.

I had such a great time at the masseria with my girlfriends. The countryside setting was lovely, and I really liked the little details in the room. You can feel how much love and passion the hosts and owners have put into the place. Waking up to the smell of Italian coffee the host had made was such a treat. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and I’ll be back with my family for sure.

Patrizia and Ariana were thoughtful, excellent hosts, and I came away feeling recharged. The place is so quiet and peaceful, with an elegant, beautiful feel to it. The spacious rooms are made from local Lecce stone and look onto a garden full of lemon and olive trees. Countryside stretches in every direction, with the beach, Otranto and Lecce all a short drive away. We visited all three during our stay, and also went on morning runs and walks every day.

Patty was a warm, gracious host and a wonderful cook. She carefully accommodated our dietary needs and gave us useful tips for nearby attractions. Every meal was lovingly made with fresh local produce and celebrated Puglia’s Salento tradition. We were there for two nights to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and our spacious room felt like a comfortable sanctuary. The charm of the Masseria, Patty’s kindness and all her thoughtful details made the stay enchanting. We’d certainly return.
