We were put in the Annex, which isn’t part of the hotel, and that wasn’t made clear on Agoda or the hotel website. The room was spacious, air-conditioned and very quiet, and the staff were pleasant. But there’s no Wi-Fi in this section, there are no sunbeds, and the smoke detector has a bright flashing light that made the room feel like a nightclub. There wasn’t a Do Not Disturb sign either, and the cleaner told us we should have had one out. Staff smiled and were friendly, but there seemed to be little interest or information. You order coffee and a pastry on a screen, then wait for someone to bring it and tell you what you’d asked for isn’t available. We also asked about the “free shuttle bus” advertised at reception. It turns out independent travellers can’t use it, and we weren’t even allowed to pay for it. Pathetic. I know I sound harsh, but I work in the industry and don’t usually write this way. It felt like average service, delivered in an average way.

The room was spacious and practical, and I was impressed by how thoroughly it was cleaned. Everyone we met was happy to give us tips for getting to the beaches. The food was fresh and clean, too. I loved the service and was amazed by the hotel.

There’s a pool here, and the staff are really friendly. The location is right in front of grotta della poesia. You can catch a bus from just outside for trips along the coast, at .50€/person. Amazing place!

The woman was nice, and I bought two coffees, a juice and a coke. But when I asked to use the bathroom, I was told I couldn’t. Bad form.
