Residence Tre Palme - Localo

This was our second stay, and we'll be back again next year if we can. It's a clean, well-organized property in a quiet, green setting, just steps from the sea and a short walk from the center of Torre dell'Orso. There's a playground for the kids, a barbecue, handy outdoor showers, and a washing machine that costs just €2. The woman at reception is always kind and helpful. When we arrived, she even waited for us just after 1:00 PM, missing her lunch break. See you soon!

It's a simply furnished little apartment for a family with children, but it has what you need. The electric boiler is a big drawback for a larger group because it isn't big enough for several people, though that didn't matter to us as there are only two of us. It's a bit far from central Torre dell'Orso, and the road is poorly lit, so walking or cycling there feels dangerous.

Loredana was always kind, efficient, and ready to help. We booked three three-bedroom ground-floor apartments, and the residence was charming, well cared for, and impeccably clean. It's a fairly quiet spot close to amenities and the beach, both within walking distance. Children can play safely around the house, and the swings and slide in the play area are lovely. The laundry space has a coin-operated washer, and the outdoor hot showers are handy. We also got to use the residence barbecue on August 15th, which made for a fun, lovely evening. The only downside was that the mattresses and pillows weren't very comfortable. Still, highly recommended, and we'll definitely come back.

There's a pleasant walk to the beach along the seafront, with some really scenic views. The residence is in a nice spot with potential, but the sea is 800 meters away, so it isn't a good fit for anyone with walking difficulties. There's no shuttle from the residence, which would be a useful extra. Driving to the beach just ends up being stressful. The apartment cleaning was superficial. We found a urine smell in the bathroom, which needed bleach or another disinfectant, and the inside of the wardrobes smelled bad. I'd replace them. The sheets, though, were clean and well ironed. I liked both the patio by the entrance, with a table and chairs for eating, and the paved garden at the back, with a sink and somewhere to hang laundry. The kitchen needs better supplies too: there were only a few small cups, no colander, and just a sample amount of dish soap for the week. For four people staying five days, one roll of toilet paper wasn't enough.
