Rivazzurra Club - Residence Village

We spent a week at Hotel Alba Azzurra with our teenage children, aged 16 and 17, hoping for a relaxing and fun family holiday. It was disappointing in many ways, and we won't return. We departed from Bari in July 2025. The resort was peaceful, which was the one real plus: younger children could roam around safely. Otherwise, it felt disorganized from the start, with too few amenities for a family with teenagers. The welcome was cold and inattentive. Entertainment was inconsistent, dull, and failed to engage us. The entertainment coordinator was energetic and enthusiastic, but couldn't carry the whole program alone. Room cleanliness was adequate, no more. The restaurant had a very limited selection, though the food itself was decent. The dining room staff were consistently friendly and helpful, especially Maître d' Salvatore, who paid real attention to everyone's needs. That was a bright spot, but it couldn't make up for the many shortcomings. We absolutely don't recommend this property.

We ate very well, with excellent, varied cuisine. The shuttle service kept to its schedule precisely, and both the pool and rooms were always clean. The staff were kind, helpful, and cheerful throughout. The entertainment team was the best, especially the mini club girls Filomena, Ada, and Diana, who were truly special. There was great evening entertainment and plenty to do during the day. We'll definitely be back. 🧡

The bathroom was in terrible shape: the door was broken, the shower clogged with dirt, and the toilet wouldn't drain properly. Furnishings were sparse and dated, basically just a cot and a chair serving as a bedside table. There weren't many staff, and they seemed untrained. The entertainment team felt like kids on their first job. The poolside bar had almost nothing to choose from, like a company café that only serves coffee. The restaurant was much like a company cafeteria, with virtually no choice. The only thing missing from the menu was plastic trays and plates. Asking for vegan or gluten-free food was pointless. This was the worst money I've ever spent on a vacation, if you can even call it one.

We had a fun, relaxing week, and we'll definitely return. A public thank you to Antonio, the shuttle driver, along with the whole entertainment team. He was kind and available even outside his scheduled hours, and pointed us toward wonderful places just a few minutes away by car.
