We left the next day after a sleepless night, and the office address we were given turned out to be a tennis court. I’m pursuing a refund with a lawyer because the owners are trying to avoid giving my money back. The apartment was nothing like the online photos. One bedroom smelled damp, and in the other there was mold on the wall beneath the windowsill. A patio door in the bedroom was broken and wouldn’t shut. Since that patio opened onto the building’s main courtyard, anyone could have walked in. The bed sheets were dirty and had “SOS” written on them in pen. The owners apparently now say that’s the cleaning company’s name. The kitchen was filthy, its cupboards were broken, and so was the TV cabinet. Some nightstand drawers had no handles. We arrived at 9:00 PM, even though staff were supposedly available until 11:00 PM, but couldn’t reach anyone. All we got was a WhatsApp message saying they wouldn’t be available until 11:00 AM the next day. The garden didn’t look like the photos, and I wouldn’t let anyone use the pool. The whole situation made the night a nightmare for all of us.

Even in the middle of summer, the downstairs bedroom stayed cool enough for a great night’s sleep without air conditioning. The house is very cool, and the location is fantastic. Everything else was perfect too, with a very clean, well-equipped place.

The view and terrace were lovely, and the service was friendly and quick. Still, the rest of the place was a letdown. We lost a day cleaning because it was so filthy, and only a partial refund brought this to two stars. Sorry, I wouldn’t say it’s worth a visit.
