It’s a restaurant for people staying there who don’t have a car to get downtown. Still, the atmosphere and view are fantastic for a quick drink, with chips on the house.

We stayed four nights in a rustic but comfortable room with a fantastic view. The food and staff were faultless, and I’d definitely stay again.

The restaurant has very little choice, and the place is a long way from everything. I really wouldn’t stay here when visiting Menaggio. It seems more suited to people coming for golf.

We had a tasty lunch at the golf club restaurant that afternoon. The room had authentic details, a comfortable bed, and little noise from other guests. We had plenty of parking, and it was a nice overnight stop on our road trip. We knew it was at a golf club, but hadn’t realized the accommodation was in the clubhouse. As a young couple who don’t play golf, we felt a bit overlooked. There was only a fan, no air conditioning, and the tap suddenly stopped running in the morning. Breakfast was mediocre, with just a few croissants and some kind of cake, plus packaged items, including toast past its sell-by date.

My room, No. 4, was the part I didn’t like. The bathroom was tiny, and noise from the next room came through very loudly. Breakfast was also quite limited. The hotel itself is lovely and in a very quiet area, with its own golf course and plenty of parking.
