Such a lovely hotel right in downtown Merano. The staff are wonderful, kind, caring, and lovely. It’s on my favorites list now. Stefanie, you’re a great and kind hostess!

We loved the location of this cute little boutique hotel. It’s an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, and Terme. Stephanie, who was the receptionist during our stay, was kind and accommodating, and went above and beyond to keep in touch and make sure we were looked after. The one problem was the heat in our room. We couldn’t sleep, and even after someone came to check in the middle of the night, they couldn’t work out what was wrong. The temperature in the room never came down. Apart from that, we’d recommend the hotel in a heartbeat.

I really wanted to love this hotel. The staff were charming and helpful, the location was central, the design was clever, and guests could use bicycles for free and get wristbands for the therme and saunas. But at €175 a night, the most I’ve ever paid for a bed, I expected everything to be right. Instead, management dug in over a direct booking offer that included breakfast. They spent half my day, and half of another guest’s, trying to get out of providing it. That guest was a stranger who kindly translated for us, then felt so sorry for us that they tried to pay themselves. It was mean-spirited and took away any chance of a generous gesture. Management eventually did the right thing, but never apologized for the stress and hunger that spoiled the first day of our holiday, or for wasting both guests’ time. They also did nothing about the missing meal or the spa vouchers that had been promised but never showed up. The coffee was excellent, but breakfast itself was nothing special and was served inside the dark bar. For some unfathomable reason, the outdoor terrace was closed on Wednesday. A small goodwill gesture from management would have cost nothing and could have made things right. Instead, we experienced the Tyrolean coldness at the heart of this place. Thank God big-hearted, chaotic Rome was our next stop.

Much worse than expected! The reception is tiny and doesn’t compare with Airbnb service. The room is overpriced, and both the service and parking are really crap.
