Residence Atlantic

We stayed in apartment 3 with our family and had a great time. It’s large, bright, has lots of rooms, and everything in the kitchen, bathroom, and elsewhere worked. There’s a balcony with seats, a table, loungers, drying rack, and broom. The elevator is handy. We made two requests to the owner, and she granted both. The residence is in a secluded, quiet part of town, good for a relaxing holiday, about a 15-minute walk from central Merano. The outside is well maintained, though the building also contains private apartments. A couple of free street spaces are available, and there’s a large, convenient indoor parking lot behind the gate. The loungers at the solarium are comfortable for sunbathing. The swimming pool, though, wasn’t fit for swimming: the water recirculation was always off, and the robot cleaner didn’t work properly, leaving the water dirty. On the road to the pool, a fallen tree was always full of bees at eye level. The walls are very thin, and people in the apartment behind the bedroom stayed up late each night while small children ran and screamed until 2 a.m. There are no mosquito nets or air conditioning, which would help in the afternoon when the sun beats down and the huge windows make it hotter inside. Also, the garden light didn’t work, leaving the garden dark and a bit hazardous when people came back from walks in the evening.

From the balcony, the view shows how lovely and peaceful the setting is, even though the center is only a few minutes away on foot. The welcome was really warm, and the landlady was very kind. The furnishings felt a little dated, but they were fine for me. I’d happily come back.

We’ll definitely return. The apartment was clean, lovely, and had everything we needed, just a short walk from the center. Our hostess was so kind and helpful.

There’s plenty of greenery and peace around these well-equipped apartments, and they’re furnished with what you need. The thermal baths and town center are a little over a kilometer away. It’s a good spot for a relaxing wellness break.
