The host replied promptly and let us check in late, which helped, but the stay was still a letdown. Our room had a very sour smell, the shower stopped working overnight, and the air conditioning took some effort to get going. Also, breakfast only covered €3 per person, something that wasn't clearly explained and could be misleading. For what we paid, we expected better comfort and things that worked.

The host was so kind and accommodating. We asked for the couch to be made up as a bed and they gladly did it, and they also let us leave our luggage there until it was time for our train. We got a confirmation email beforehand and were asked what time we'd arrive. The B&B is on the third floor, right opposite the lift; there are two buzzers at the entrance, and either one or both will get you into the building. The rooms were clean and great. Just bring your own shampoo and conditioner, since they provide hand soap and body wash only.

We were left waiting outside with our luggage in the scorching heat for nearly two hours, and there wasn't even an apology. The B&B changed check-in at the last minute, from 12:00-20:30 to before 13:00 and after 19:00, in a message written in an Italian dialect that was hard to translate with Google. We got there at 14:40. At first, they even told us to wait until 19:00. The staff and owner were terrible, and the service was horrible.

Breakfast had a good range, with cereals, biscuits, and some Sicilian specialties. The staff were very kind, and everything was very clean. I'd definitely recommend it.

The room was spacious, quiet, clean, and really comfortable. I'd happily stay there again.
