Francesco came to collect us at the port, then showed us around his vineyard. We spent a few hours at Tanuta Rasocolmo Winery during our visit to the Messina region, with lunch and wines paired together. The estate is beautiful, with views of the sea and Mount Stromboli, and Francesco was a wonderful host. Everything was perfect.

The rooms were cozy and the surroundings fascinating, but it was the owner’s warm hospitality that made the place feel like a visit with close friends. The food was exquisite, with a menu that showed real creativity and skill, and the wine pairings brought out the flavors of every course. Their sommelier guided me through an impressive, varied selection and clearly knows the wines well. The owner was attentive and knowledgeable, going out of the way to make the evening memorable. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality made me feel valued. An extraordinary wine farm visit from start to finish, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a winery experience with great wine and warm service.

Francesco took us on a walking tour of the property and served wine with a light lunch paired to each one. We came to Messina by cruise ship hoping to find a local winery, and the visit exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, and we were treated like family. A lovely hidden gem.
