Hotel Accursio

The staff at Hotel Accursio were charming and hospitable, and knew the area well. I’d stay again as a solo traveler, especially if going to another game at the San Siro: the stadium is an easy walk away, far enough to avoid the crowds but still convenient. The hotel has a welcoming feel. I stayed in November 2025, and the tram into central Milan was handy; walking into town is possible too, and an early walk is a nice way to see the sights. My room was small, which was fine for one person, very clean and comfortable, with a good temperature and a fridge. The en-suite was clean, with towels and toiletries if needed, and the room was serviced daily. There weren’t drawers for clothes, but the wardrobe did the job. Breakfast was simple and small, though the coffee was good and set me up for the morning. I wanted to explore Milan’s food stalls and markets, so a light breakfast suited me. I can’t comment on the evening bar because I was out every night except after one day of walking nearly 25 miles around the city. The bed was so comfortable that I turned in early that night.

I was there for four nights, and the rooms were fine. There’s no kettle in the room, but the hotel will bring hot water whenever you need it. Nearly all the staff were supportive. A direct tram takes about 20-25 minutes to reach Duomo cathedral.

The rooms were very clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly and spoke English. There are plenty of local shops and markets nearby, and the location makes it easy to get around the city. The hotel looked better in person than in the pictures, so I’ll share some updated ones ☺️. Airport transfer availability or help with arranging it could be improved.

We ended up needing a room for one night after our car tires were punctured and we couldn’t return to our own Airbnb. I have only good things to say about our stay. The receptionist was especially helpful and called the garage several times on my behalf. She deserves recognition for the excellent job she did.
