Camping Village Citta Di Milano

The showers and toilets were good, and the campsite is near the 76 bus stop. But €59 for a camper with two adults and two kids felt very overpriced, especially when the website wasn't working and, when I called to ask the price, I was told to check it there. They also wanted to keep our passport for the duration of the stay. Laundry with the washing machine, semi-dryer and tablet cost €11, yeesh. There was a sketchy rave blasting bass all night, so we had to move to the far end, and a weirdo was shouting and punching himself in the head. Not family friendly.

We were lucky with the lovely February weather during our 48-hour stay. The facilities were clean, the staff friendly, and there was a place to drain waste and fill the campervan with water. What an excellent site.

The location is good, the price moderate, and there are large, shady pitches. The woman at reception was very friendly. Still, after two nights here, this was one of the worst campsites we've visited. The restaurant was a 5/10. Prices were low, but the food was like supermarket food, and the pizza tasted like a €2 frozen one. The sanitary facilities were far below standards: filthy, without soap or toilet paper, and there was no hot water in the showers for all three days. We told reception on the first day, but nothing changed. Staff just said they'd tell a colleague. The many aggressive mosquitoes were another problem. They kept biting even during the day, and nearby supermarkets had sold out of spray. Bring your own. We'll never go back.

We had no other choice because this was the only campsite we could reach by public transport from the city centre of Milan. The toilets, showers and laundry rooms were extremely dirty, and there were lots of bugs. Music from the bar at the entrance kept pounding until 2 a.m. We also saw bar customers smoking while using the campsite toilets, which made us wonder if the bar was affiliated with the campsite. Truly unbelievable.
