The woman at reception was fantastic. She helped me so much with everything.

Check-in was easy, with clear instructions, and the Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay. It was quiet enough for me to sleep well. The hotel felt cozy and was kept very tidy, with clean rooms, a shared area and full kitchen, plus complimentary coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was a letdown. Its loose head wouldn't stay where I wanted, so the water sprayed in the wrong direction. The little single-use shower gel packets were also hard to open because the perforation wasn't cut deep enough. I ended up using my teeth.

We were just outside Milan's tourist areas, but public transport was close and the B&B was easy to get around from. The host was friendly and accommodating, and gave us great recommendations, including a lovely restaurant next door. The rooms were comfortable, and I especially liked the coffee vending machine. We'd definitely come back.

The place is very well connected and was probably the cheapest stop on our Europe tour, yet one of the best. It's a 5-6 minute walk to the train station, with a connection to the Duomo that takes two trains and about 15 minutes or less in total. We stayed with our four-month-old baby, and the host even let us check out late without a fee, depending on bookings. She was wonderful, kind and courteous, and clearly suited to hospitality. Guests can use her excellent kitchen. In the next building there's an excellent authentic Italian restaurant. Across the street are a little bakery, which we didn't try, and a Philippino restaurant. We skipped that too, since we were busy eating as much delicious Italian food as possible. The room had elegant, light furnishings and lovely curtains with yellow lighting. The air conditioning worked and was quite comfortable.
