There are supermarkets nearby for groceries and other things, and public transport connections are good. Several buses stop on the street beside the apartment and can take you to the red Underground. There's also an underground station about 10 minutes away. The apartment itself had large, comfortable rooms and a spectacular street view. One downside is that a rather unpleasant area of the city is not far away.

They canceled the order without giving a refund, even though we told them we would arrive the next day.

The host promised to send a company invoice after we explained a week before the work trip that we needed one and would cancel if it couldn't be provided. We kept the booking based on that reply, but two months after our stay we're still waiting, and the host refuses to issue it. That's tax fraud in his country and has created a serious problem for my company and me as an employee. I've also never seen a host reserve the right to charge a €50 penalty for arriving one hour after check-in. The fee seems extortionate when check-in is at 9 p.m., Milan's airports are over an hour from the city, and the accommodation is more than 30 minutes from Milan Centrale. It's very likely almost everyone will have to pay that €50 penalty. Dubious practices and no honesty. The apartment didn't look like the photos. It felt as if a family with children had moved out a week earlier and left the place as it was. The shelf of toys for one- or two-year-olds suggests very little knowledge of tourism. The door uses an old key that gave us a lot of trouble. We had to try it 5-6 times before it opened. A numeric code like almost all apartments on Booking.com would make more sense, but then they couldn't penalize guests with that €50 charge. The kitchen had barely any cutlery, glasses, or other cooking utensils. The iron didn't work, and could only be plugged into the kitchen socket anyway. In the small bedroom, the baby's room XD, the light switch is outside, so you have to step out to turn the light on or off. Every time you open the closet, its door hits the ceiling light, risking breaking it and having it fall on your head. The nightstand, its lamp, and THE ONLY OUTLET AVAILABLE in that room are behind the headboard, so to charge a phone or reach it to turn off an alarm, you have to get out of bed and walk around. The shower was moldy and quite dirty. The shower towels were all the same size, 70-80 cm wide, too small to cover your chest and hips, though there were plenty of them. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable too. Outside, trams and cars speed past until late at night, and the windows aren't soundproof, so it's impossible to sleep without earplugs. The street itself isn't bad, but the surrounding streets are full of rather unsavory people. I assume it's not a good area, or at least not a quiet, residential one.
