Agriturismo Il Gelsomino Ritrovato

After months on the road, this was easily the best shower I’d had in six months. We stayed in the rooms rather than the camper area. The room was clean, and breakfast was included with lots of choices. Everyone on staff was cheerful and welcoming, and their dog Ângelo played with our dogs. We’d stopped because we needed an early ferry to stromboli. After a wonderful first night, we asked at reception if we could stay again when we returned. They kindly let us leave both cars there and arranged an inexpensive transfer to the port. That felt much safer than leaving them in some random parking lot.

For 33€ I had a night here with one tent, one car, and just myself. Apart from meals, the price includes everything. The tent pitches have lighting and some shade, though they’re small and quite close together. It’s a 15-minute walk to a beach with small stones rather than sand. Milazzo harbor takes about an hour on foot, or ten minutes by car, and a shuttle bus is possible. The showers work fine, though they could use an update. Breakfast for 8€ is simple and okay, but I wouldn’t have it too often. The coffee and juices taste great. Dinner at 25€ is worth recommending (08/2025).

We had a lovely stay in a very clean room, and after a long day out my daughter and I really enjoyed cooling off in the pool. The agriturismo is peaceful and conveniently close to the port and station. We didn’t have a car, but they arranged a taxi from the airport and offered rides to the port for visiting the islands and back, as well as transport to the station. The owner and staff were all friendly, especially Ivano and Gustavo. I can’t remember the other names. Breakfast and dinner were both very good and reasonably priced. I would have liked an English breakfast, but everything they served was fresh and very good. Thanks to everyone, and I highly recommend staying here 🙂

There’s hardly any shade around the campsite, which was the main downside for us. The staff and owner were lovely and incredibly helpful, and their cooking was amazing. They also made a slightly different dish for the six-year-old in our group and took the time to explain the menu so we knew what to expect. The pool was clean but cold, and they’re building a second one now. The playground was fun for the kids, a little old but still worked well. The sanitary facilities were okay, and the partial outdoor showers were nice in the hot weather.
