Groups have lots of room to gather in the big shared living, dining, and kitchen area, while every guest room feels like its own luxury suite. Staying here is almost like having a private resort, and it's a great spot for enjoying the region. I'd especially recommend it to groups coming for a cycling holiday, since the routes from town are superb.

Villa Sofia in Specchia Gallone gave us some truly magical moments. Our family of nine chose it for my mom's 80th birthday. The town is peaceful, and the locals are genuinely friendly and hospitable. The location is almost perfect, with gourmet restaurants, beaches, cultural sites, and entertainment all within a 15-30 minute drive. The house made a stunning first impression: simple, grand elegance, refined interiors with hundreds of beautiful objects and furnishings from around the world, and a cozy garden and pool. Daily life there lived up to that first impression. We loved breakfast in the fresh, quiet morning air with freshly baked bread and croissants from a bakery just a 3-minute walk away. At sunset, it was lovely to read while swallows flew around, and we had fun swimming until night. We even had a full, 'royal' three-course dinner delivered, home-cooked by the mother of the owners of the bar next door. Don't miss the delicious pasta al forno. It's also a peaceful place to work if you need to, while family and friends enjoy their holiday. We'd love to return and have already recommended Villa Sofia to all our friends!
