Agriturismo Villa Mocenigo

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a very nice place, not far from Venice. We drove over and then took the train from Noale, which got us to Venice in half an hour. We had dinner and breakfast here, and both the food and service were very good. Just a heads-up, the room walls are thin, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs.

The rooms were older, but comfortable, and had the basics covered: the heater and AC worked, and there was hot water. It’s a quiet area a little outside Venice, with shopping nearby in Mirano and Spinea. There’s also a restaurant on site where we had a great lunch, and breakfast was plentiful. Fantastic stay, and I’m looking forward to going back.

The apartments were clean and pleasant, and the food, wine, and grappa were excellent. I recommend it if you like the authentic countryside and homemade Italian food and drinks. I do think the owner could be more understanding when people have different drinking habits. Of course, customs vary from country to country, and in Italy too.

We decided not to stay after being shown the rooms. Their photos are misleading, showing rooms different from the ones we were offered. The bathroom had no window, and there was only 16 inches of space between the beds and the washroom. Cleanliness could have been better too: we saw spiders in the room and bread crumbs on the table. Check-in is handled by the waiters, so if they’re busy, you have to wait. I raised these problems with the owners and was told to book a 5 star hotel. Zero customer relations.
