Ciccio Hotel

We enjoyed our stay, though there were some unexpected things worth knowing about, especially for visitors from outside Italy. These points aren’t necessarily the hotel’s fault. We were there from September 1 to 6, 2024, in a first-floor room in the main building beside the rear stairs, and we did not have an all-inclusive package. If you’re driving, note that there’s no hotel parking. There’s private paid parking across the street. Call the number and go there before parking, or you may get charged extra. The reception staff speak English and were wonderful. The entertainment team is around with activities and has a backup plan for rainy days. Some shows are enjoyable without knowing Italian. The activities themselves are mostly in Italian, which makes sense when 90-95% of guests are Italian. Only the entertainment leader speaks English, but he’ll explain what’s happening and when. Our room had a comfortable, decent-sized bed and plenty of storage. The toilet and shower were fine, and the hotel supplied lots of towels, toilet paper, soap, and shower gel. Housekeeping cleaned and changed towels daily unless asked not to. The air conditioning is set automatically, so talk to reception about it. There’s no fridge or kettle, which is inconvenient if you need to make formula for a child. You’ll have to use the bar downstairs. Smoking is allowed on the balcony, which has a drying rack, a chair, and a table. Our room was by the rear stairs on the first floor, so it was very noisy, especially at lunchtime when we were trying to get our baby to sleep. The balcony was above the kitchen, and we couldn’t leave the balcony door or bathroom window open. The hotel can also get a bit messy when dozens of people eat at once. The beach is 300-400m away, about a 4-5 minute walk, and is great for children because the water stays shallow for quite a distance. The beaches are private, though, and a sunbed costs 15 euros per day, with a discount for the full period. Even without all-inclusive, you can eat at the hotel restaurant if you book a day ahead. It costs 5 euros per adult for breakfast and 25 euros for lunch or dinner. Misano Adriatico is quiet and family-oriented, with a long stretch of coast to walk along. There are bike and motorbike rental services, and the bus goes to nearby towns for 3 euros round trip. For a busier place, head to Catolica town center. There are lots of seaside seafood restaurants. I personally recommend Orfeo for its amazing food, fair prices, and good staff, but make a reservation in time.
