The online pictures give a slightly misleading impression: it was described as an apartment, but it's a room with a bathroom. That said, the location is perfect, right in the centre of Modena. We had a nice two-night stay in a comfortable room with nice decor and lighting, plus a smart TV for signing in to Netflix and the like. The bathroom was nice too, apart from the drain smell.

The room's dark and feels like a cave, and the whole place smells of sewage. I really don't recommend it.

The host communicated excellently, and the flat was very clean. It's in downtown Modena, right by the main square.

I've been waiting since April for a receipt for my stay and for the tourist taxes I paid, with no luck. Mrs. Paola keeps saying she'll send it soon. I didn't ask for an invoice, since I'm not a professional host. The owner is otherwise completely absent from the property, replying to only a few WhatsApp messages. The sockets beside the bed didn't work, so we had to charge our phones on the floor using an outlet far away. The room gets light from a window onto a tiny courtyard and is completely dark all day. Stay away!

The host was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable, the shower spacious, and all the main attractions are close by.
