The food was good and inexpensive, though the location is remote.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of local products and enough variety to change it up each day. The rooms were tidy, clean, and well looked after, and there are comfortable rooms and spacious shared areas in this fully renovated farmhouse. It’s peaceful and private out here, but only a few minutes by car from the town center, a nice setting for people who love nature and quiet. The one annoyance was the air conditioning unit facing the bed. Its airflow was pretty bothersome at night.

Breakfast was a treat, especially the ricotta, apricot tart, and Modica pastries. We stayed five nights and were really pleased with our choice. Because of the COVID emergency, breakfast couldn’t be served in the dining room when there were more than 6 people, but having it on our terrace worked out great. We filled in the "breakfast form" the night before, and the tray was ready with everything we’d asked for the next morning. The spacious, clean Campailla room had all the comforts and was in a quiet spot, handy for getting to different destinations. There’s no refrigerator in the room, but that was fine for us, since there’s a shared one in the breakfast room for cold water. One tip: stop near the arch to carry your luggage in, because the gravel parking lot makes suitcase wheels hard to roll. The only real downside was the bed, which creaked with every breath. It’s a lovely, new, well-managed place with clear, simple directions, and I appreciated how peaceful it was and how much they respected our privacy. Great value for money, and I highly recommend this B&B.

The setting really suits people who want to get away from it all, and the building is beautiful with comfortable rooms. There’s a stable next door with cows, though, and that brings lots of flies and insects. I also missed having a little fridge for drinks and beach fruit. Breakfast was sadly poor, and I found it unpleasant and embarrassing that the woman serving kept staring at me.

I wanted to explore the area without staying in town, and this was a good fit. The rustic-style property is lovely, set in the countryside about 10 minutes from Modica. There’s a wide breakfast selection, sweet and savory, and the service was great, with useful tips on places to visit and eat. Recommended.
