B&B Candido Vacanze

I was amazed by how plentiful and delicious breakfast was. I was in Modica to visit a friend and stayed at this B&B, where I had a wonderful time. The hostess was always smiling and very helpful, and the welcome was exceptional.

The breakfast was very meager, just a small bowl with a little fruit, a croissant, and coffee I couldn't drink. The location was extremely inconvenient by car: the roads to the property are so narrow, like mule tracks, that I nearly scratched my Tesla countless times, and even a small car struggled. Management was terrible. I had booked a double room to visit my brother, who was staying at a B&B in Comiso and whom I hadn't seen for two years. Family issues meant my wife couldn't come, so I was alone in the room. My brother and his family joined me, four of us in total, and we drove to the beach in one car, which he parked near this B&B. When we got back in the evening, we stopped by my room for a moment to see the property before collecting the car. The host decided to ENTER the room, apparently suspecting my brother's family would stay with me. He claimed five people were sleeping in a double bed, even after I explained they had no luggage and were staying at THEIR B&B in Comiso. They left a few minutes later and went back to the place where they'd been staying for a week. He took us for homeless people. The next morning he saw I was alone and didn't apologize. Host, think before blaming people for intentions that exist only in your head. Check whether your suspicion is actually true before making a complaint.

The common areas are really nice, and the room was great, with its own direct street access for plenty of privacy. Hospitality was excellent, and they were attentive and helpful with everything. Breakfast, parking...

The buffet breakfast is plentiful when you get up, and the staff are kind and helpful. Everything was clean, both in the room and in the bathrooms, even though the bathrooms are shared.
