I liked the rooms, but the place is too far out. Without a car, there's nothing you can do.

We booked through Booking.com in good faith while travelling around Bari and arrived at about 11:00 p.m., exhausted after coming from Santa Maria. The man and woman at reception checked us in and assigned five separate rooms, then told us the air conditioning wasn't working. It later became clear that their policy was not to provide air conditioning, which they said was allowed by law. The woman seemed unconcerned and walked away from reception. They kept offering to cancel our reservation at no cost, with no apparent interest in keeping our business, and the man, Gason, was dismissive and repeatedly said we could cancel. She was dressed to go home and insisted that the policy meant there would be no air conditioning. We showed her the website information, and after calling someone she reluctantly agreed to turn it on in two rooms. We insisted all five be switched on as in our Booking.com reservation, so she eventually did that too, then left in disgust. We went up to the seventh floor to rooms that were stifling hot and uncomfortable. We told our friends the air conditioning was available, but it switched off after 10 to 15 minutes. We tried calling reception and got no answer. All five rooms smelled, so we had to leave the balcony doors open and put up with traffic noise. The shower pressure was inadequate, two of the five toilets didn't flush properly, and their flushes trickled all night. The terrace was poorly kept, with peeling paint, crumbling cement, and no furniture. The whole experience was stressful and disappointing at that hour, and left us uncomfortable, dissatisfied, and with a bitter feeling about a much loved holiday in Italy. Hotel HR and the lady receptionist performed extremely poorly. We expect the points above to be addressed, the receptionist's attitude to be corrected, and paid services to be provided. We'll report this to the Italian Tourism industry at italia.it@ministeroturismo.gov.it and to Booking.com. We expect a full refund as the only acceptable resolution, and for guests to receive all services advertised and paid for.

A filthy, old, disgusting hotel. The pool turned into a stinking swamp, the rooms smelled of smoke, and breakfast was very poor. This didn't feel remotely like a four-star hotel.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the large pool was clean. The road nearby made it a little noisy by the pool, which only had a few trees and hedges for shelter. Inside, though, the hotel wasn't noisy despite being right beside the main road. Rooms were big but basic, and the shower had weak pressure because its connection was leaking. There’s free parking if you have a car, which is useful since the hotel sits in an industrial estate outside everything. It was clean and functional, and decent, but no more than that. The style feels a bit like the 50s, and the location is odd if you don't drive.
