Resort Dolce Casa Family &SPA

We return every year. Family hotels in Italy have opened my eyes to how much thought goes into making a holiday work for everyone. All the details are planned and organized so the whole family can enjoy the vacation.

After full days skiing, the hotel's cozy atmosphere and genuinely kind staff were especially welcome. Getting to the slopes was easy, and our room was comfortable and well equipped. Check-in started with a warm welcome, and the care from the staff showed in the details throughout our stay. Our family had a delightful ski holiday, and we'd love to come back.

The kids loved the pool and kids clubs, and we all enjoyed the food and drinks. It's a beautiful hotel in a great spot, and works really well for families. Some of the waiting staff came across as a little unprofessional, though, and I spotted a couple of safety concerns: metal protruding from the floor in one place, and a piece of wardrobe wood fell off with a nail sticking out. Still, it was a very good stay.

The daycare was the best part for us. Our three year old kids were looked after by lovely, professional women there, and after just two weeks they were already going to miss them. It's open 12 (!) hours a day, so you can drop your child off whenever you want to go for a walk or have a drink. The place is right in the centre of Moena, with loads of indoor and outdoor room for children and parents to play or unwind. The staff were kind and helpful, and reception was staffed from early morning until well after dinner. We never waited more than five minutes for anything, whatever the time. Those two weeks at DCR felt like our first real family vacation in three years. At checkout, all I wanted to know was when I could book for next summer.
