The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One helped us with some Italian words, another gave us a useful map showing train times to and from Venice, and another got us hot tea after the bar and restaurant had closed. Our room was very spacious and clean. The main discomfort was the heat: they turn off the A/C in October, even though nights can still be fairly warm. The water also swung between ice cold and scalding every few seconds, but it was manageable. All in all, a very good experience.

The hotel is convenient for a short stay and was reasonably comfortable, but it felt more like a three-star place than a four-star one. It's a six-minute walk to the station, close to nice bars, restaurants, and ice cream shops, and roughly a 20-minute train ride to central Venice. The hotel bar is friendly and fairly priced, and several staff members were lovely and helpful. There were plenty of maintenance issues in the room: our fridge and some sockets didn't work, some light switches failed, and one light flickered every few minutes for no reason. The decor is old-fashioned and poor, and the whole hotel felt dated and badly maintained. At check-in an older man, who seemed to be the owner, was rude and sarcastic for no clear reason. Everyone else on staff was kind and helpful.

The location worked really well, about a 10-minute walk at most from the station, with a direct train into Venice. Staying here is a good way to save a little money if you don't need to be on Venice island. The hotel was an efficient, affordable base for our Venice visit, and the staff and service were excellent. I liked that the people working there were friendly and happy to chat. Most spoke excellent English, which was nice for me while I'm still learning Italian. Breakfast was better than average, though nothing fancy or special. They had English breakfast tea, so I was happy. A bit of modernization to the decor would make it close to perfect. Hope this helps, and have a nice trip wherever you go.

We'd stay again. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, and breakfast was excellent. Our front-facing room was quite large and had a balcony. I peeked at rooms on the other side, and they were considerably smaller. Cheap and cheerful.

We had a great time here. The hotel is a pleasure to be in, very clean, with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was lovely and large, classically decorated with beautiful Venician glass chandeliers. The balcony was a nice spot to sit, with a pretty, very typically Venician view. The bathroom was a good size too. Wonderful place! 💜
