The food is good value, with a broad menu that includes local dishes and fish, and the draft German beer is excellent after a long walk in the mountains. It’s a classic Italian restaurant in a great spot, popular with locals. I’ve been a couple of times, and the woman who seems to run it is lovely, attentive, and efficient. Eating outside with the lake views is great, and inside is also nice after dark. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re passing.

There’s free parking and an elevator, and the restaurant prices are moderate. Very good, I’d recommend it for a day or two.

The hotel sits right opposite the pile dwelling site, a great starting point for hikers and e-bike riders wanting to explore the lake and valley. My room was brand new and really nice, and I didn’t expect breakfast like that at this price. Impressive value for money. Highly recommended!

We booked thinking, “It’s only one night, it’ll be fine,” but that turned out to be wrong. There were stains and dog hair on the blankets, cigarette ends in the ashtray, spots on the mirror, and a dirty shower with used curd soap. The shower door and hair dryer were broken. There was a replacement dryer nearby, but why leave the broken one mounted on the wall? The whole room seemed like it hadn’t been looked after in a while. At least they replaced the blankets as soon as we reported the problem. The staff were quite reserved, and breakfast was okay, though a bit chaotic. In the end, it wasn’t worth the price. Better to stay somewhere else.
