Garden Hotel Bellariva

We’ll definitely be back, especially for the spotless rooms and very comfortable beds. The location is quiet and close to the lake, and the dishes change each day. The chef’s soups are excellent.

I first found Hotel Bellariva last July and have stayed four more times since. It’s a lovely place right on Lake Molveno, with spacious, clean rooms and attentive staff from reception through housekeeping. Everyone is genuinely friendly and polite. The owners are two very young people who do their best to meet guests’ needs. I highly recommend it for the location, excellent food, and the kindness and care they put into the details.

We had a family holiday with two children and highly recommend the place. The garden is well cared for, with kids’ games and loungers, and there’s a lovely veranda for guests to use when the weather turns bad. The location is hard to beat, right on Lake Molveno in the best equipped area, near boat and bike rental and the shuttle stop. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, and gave us useful ideas for things to do. The rooms are old fashioned but clean, and I’d suggest getting one with a lake view. Good value for money, including the à la carte lunch, and the food had a nice range of choices. For little kids, they can provide vegetable soup with pasta, baby food, or cheese. Takeaway lunch is also possible if arranged ahead. There’s private parking as well as paid parking next door.

The location is fantastic, but that alone doesn’t make up for the room. I stayed at Bellariva Hotel in mid-June and found it poorly cleaned, with cobwebs everywhere. The bed was damp, the sheets had holes and were badly made, and both the mattress and wallpaper were old. The minibar was switched off when I arrived, and it took a day to get cold. Breakfast was average, with flies landing around the food. At €150 on June 14th, the price seemed excessive for a B&B stay.
