Best Quality Hotel La Darsena

It’s quiet here, yet the main attractions in Turin are easy to reach. You can take bus 67 (€2) and get off at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, then walk a short distance to most sights. Castello Reale di Moncalieri is also about a 15-minute uphill walk, with a beautiful panoramic view of the city. The room was clean and spacious, with a fresh, comfortable bed. There’s a lovely shared terrace right by the Po River for breakfast overlooking the water or relaxing at sunset. Friendly service and excellent value for the price. Thank you!

The good breakfast and the luxurious, quiet, comfortable rooms and great view of the River Po deserve five stars. But the staff were prickly, spent ages fiddling with their computer at the front desk without looking at us, and gave us lots of rules to follow. We felt like naughty children just for being there. It didn’t feel welcoming. There’s no restaurant or bar, even though there are rooms set aside for those purposes. I’d give it three stars because of the staff’s attitude and approach.

The room was nice, breakfast was good, and the hotel was good overall. But we got there at 11 PM, found the parking in front full, and asked at reception if we could use the inside parking. At checkout they charged us 7 euro to park overnight. Why? This unexplained fee makes no sense, and they should remove it.

We stayed from 3 August until 5 August 2022. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was complete, and the bedroom had a nice view of the river Po. It’s near a bus stop for line 67 into Turin. Even with the heat outside, the AC worked well.
