The balcony has a lovely view, and the place is quiet and secluded, about a 3 km drive up the mountain from Moneglia. A family restaurant nearby was good, but it seemed to be the only choice. The host also gave us some laundry liquid when we asked, which we appreciated. A reliable taxi driver is available in town, but book ahead. Public transport isn't something you can count on, and walking 3 km down and back up every day would be painful, so you need to sort out transport. There are no groceries nearby and only that one restaurant, which leaves you with no real choice. Our main disappointment was the supplies. For four adults staying three days, we were given one toilet roll. When we asked for more, we were told it would cost an extra 10 euros. It's difficult to buy toilet paper nearby when everything is 3 km uphill. I hadn't seen this before, and it made the stay difficult. We also got just one dishwasher tablet, regardless of how long we stayed, and were asked to pay for extra ones. When we asked for the heating to be turned on, the host took away the air conditioning remote, so we couldn't use both. That felt like a lack of trust. These small things mean I wouldn't recommend staying here again.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but you'll need a car to get to the hotel.

There’s lots of space and it’s equipped very well. The terrace has a great view.

A good base for a visit to Cinque terre!
