Hotel Villa Edera e La Torretta

The staff really go out of their way to make a stay special. The dinners are the best in the area, breakfast is great, and there's a good wine list. The rooms are beautiful, the food sublime, and both the pool and gym are first class. A lovely oasis in a wonderful location, with easy access from the train station.

Villa Edera feels welcoming and authentic, with decor that makes you feel at home instead of trying to impress. Everyone is kind, and Francesca knows a lot about just about everything. The pool is fabulous, the garden is lovely, and Moneglia is only a short walk away. I recommend Simonetti for ice cream. We'll be back!

Moneglia is a peaceful seaside base for exploring Cinque Terre and Portofino by train and boat. The station is easy to reach by private lift, and there's plenty to enjoy at the hotel too, from the pool and cookery classes to wine tasting, local beach access, wellness treatments, and pretty terraces for reading. The two resident cats were a delight. Villa Edera e La Torretta is a special place, with stylish, luxurious rooms and a charming team. The family clearly care about giving guests a lovely stay, from the warm welcome to the sublime food, wine, and cocktails. Some produce is grown in their own gardens and vineyard.

We spent five nights here and had a beautiful time. The staff were so helpful and thoughtful about the little things, even remembering our usual breakfast orders. We enjoyed the amenities and had a wonderful dinner at the Michelin star restaurant, where they used fresh herbs from their own garden. Thanks to everyone for making our stay memorable. We'd highly recommend the hotel and hope to return!
