The rooms at Arco Sallustio were very clean and had everything we needed to relax after long walks and swims. Our stay was also made special by the kind, professional hosting from Alessandra and her dad Paolo. Arco Sallustio is a lovely historic home with real character, right in the middle of Monopoli’s old city. It's just a few steps from the city's only beach and very close to restaurants, bars, and the main monuments. I’ll leave the jaw-dropping rooftop as a surprise for whoever visits. Highly recommended.

Paolo was so kind and helpful that he even came to collect us from the train station. We loved the place, tucked along a lovely whitewashed street, and the rooftop terrace looks out over the sea. Breakfast up there with that view was a treat. The beach is just around the corner, and the bakery on Piazza Garibaldi is about a five-minute walk away. I'd recommend staying here.

The cleaning was poor, and the apartment felt cramped, with old furniture and plaster coming away from the walls. At 85 euros a day, that really wasn't acceptable. Maybe I ended up in the worst apartment, but I can't recommend this place.

Right by the popular Porta Vecchia beach, in a 19th-century building in the historic center, there are three little studio apartments with a vintage feel.
