B&B Smile

I gave one star because I couldn’t give zero. There was no real welcome: she let us in, showed us the room, then vanished for two days. She didn’t ask our names, surnames, documents, or anything. Anyone arriving on our check-in day could have been let in. The breakfast buffet isn’t true either. There was just a post-it note in the room saying “coffee and a croissant,” which we were supposed to get from a partner bar 10 minutes from the B&B. Everything was communicated through WhatsApp. No courtesy or helpfulness at all. It felt unsafe. I don’t recommend this place and definitely won’t return.

July 2021. I stayed three nights with two friends, and the bed was okay, but the breakfast was poor. We arrived to a clean room and bathroom, then found in the rules on the door that linens and room cleaning weren’t changed daily. Fresh towels cost an extra €7 in cash. There wasn’t a breakfast buffet as the rules claimed either, just a small trolley left outside our room with a croissant, juice, and a meagre packet of jam. Coffee and cappuccino were made to order on the machine in the room. The lady never came to see us during the three days; she only sent an audio message telling us how to get the keys. We had already paid online in advance.

We were close to the train station, and check-in and check-out were quick. The bed was comfortable, and the voucher for a tasty coffee and croissant was a lovely bonus. The walk to the city centre is long, which could be rough in the heat. There was no clothes dryer on the balcony, and we couldn’t find wine glasses, cutlery, or regular glasses. The fridge didn’t cool well. The bathroom hairdryer was a hassle too: I had to hold the plug in the socket with one hand while drying my hair with the other. At PLN 310 per night in June, it felt like average value at best, a bit much.

The place was lovely and clean, with a huge, beautiful bathtub in the bathroom. Breakfast was all right. Congratulations, and thanks again.
