Cala Corvino Hotel Resort

The room and bathroom made the stay miserable. The room looked shabby, the shower leaked and flooded the floor, and reception offered no help when we went to ask. We ended up drying everything with our own towels. There were ants everywhere too, so we had to buy insect spray. Some of my valuable things went missing during the trip, including Gucci sunglasses and quite a bit of money. The cleaning staff were the only people coming into my room, and they were also the ones who said I had to leave while they cleaned. Meals were mixed. The food itself was okay, but the staff serving it didn't understand English and gave tiny portions even when I asked for more. Breakfast had very little choice. I also heard workers gossiping about guests, apparently assuming nobody there understood Italian. It was rude and made the stay worse. I spent a lot to come here and it was a complete disaster. Never again.

Some visitors complain about school groups, but I saw obvious vandalism in the rooms, names carved into doors, that seemed clearly to have been done by students. Guests should behave before complaining. For families with small children, the place is especially convenient: there are no barriers, you can get around with a stroller, and there's always a route without stairs. The pools are great, and the pool staff and lunch and dinner staff were good too. The location is another plus. A few things could be better. Breakfast staff weren't as good, the restroom fans were noisy, some old apartment furnishings need replacing, and the coffee at breakfast needs work. Food was okay, sometimes excellent. There are some really good features here, alongside things that need attention.

The children's entertainment was the one real bright spot, the elves were great with them, and lunch and dinner were nice. The rest left us unimpressed. Our room badly needed an update and repairs. The bed was broken, the handle kept coming off the door, the bathroom door got stuck all the time, and there were holes everywhere. There was no Wi-Fi, and hardly any TV channels worked, even for the kids. Breakfast was poor, with little choice, and they cleared it away very quickly at 9:30. After the late Christmas events, that felt too early.

The location works well if you're driving, between two main cities, and the staff were nice. Breakfast and dinner were included in our full week deal, with plenty of options. The food selection was good. The downsides were the tiny room and awful restroom, though at least it was clean. Wi-Fi was terrible and barely worked even in common areas. Reception made mistakes with our booking and we had to switch rooms twice. It's not a great place, but the value is decent with the week deal. I'd stay again if I couldn't find another good price.
